THE PROCESS

At Nokic College Recruiting, the path to college tennis looks a little different depending on who you are. Whether you’re a player, coach, parent, or club, we’ve outlined clear steps tailored to your role. Below, you can see how the process works for you.

FOR STUDENT ATHLETES

Step 1: Evaluation & Goal Setting

understanding where you are right now and what your goals are.
We look at:

  • Your tennis results, ranking, and UTR/ITF profile.

  • Your academic background (grades, test scores, graduation year).

  • Your personal goals (scholarship level, location, type of school).

From this, we create a college tennis roadmap tailored to you.

Step 2: Profile & Materials

This is the first impression coaches will have of you.
It includes:

  • A recruiting profile with your bio, results, GPA, and test scores.

  • A highlight video that shows your game style, strengths, and athletic ability.

  • References from coaches who can vouch for character and work ethic.

This step ensures that when we reach out, coaches immediately see your potential
and professionalism.

Mackenzie McDonald - UCLA
Step 3: Outreach to Coaches

After your profile is ready, we start connecting you with the right schools. Instead of mass emails, we focus on personalized outreach. We:

  • Identify coaches who are actively recruiting in your level.

  • Highlight why you’re a strong fit for their team.

  • Position you in a way that makes your profile stand out from hundreds of other players.

This step is where opportunities start to open up, because we’re contacting the right people in the right way.

Step 4: Communication & Showcasing

Once coaches begin responding, we guide you through how to communicate confidently and professionally.
In this stage, you’ll learn how to:

  • Write and respond to emails with the right tone.

  • Present yourself well in video calls or phone calls.

  • Keep coaches updated with new results, videos, or achievements.

The goal here is to build strong relationships with coaches while showing them not only your tennis ability but also your character and maturity.

Danielle Collins - UVA
Cameron Norrie - TCU
Step 5: Offers, Visits & Commitment

When schools start showing serious interest, we help you navigate the decision-making process. This includes:

  • Reviewing and comparing scholarship offers and roster spots.

  • Understanding the difference between official and unofficial visits.

  • Guiding you through the steps of making a final decision.

By the end of this stage, you’ll feel confident in choosing a school that matches both your tennis and academic goals.

Step 6: Continued Support

we don’t stop once you commit. Even after signing, we’re here for:

  • Questions or concerns you may have about the transition.

  • Help with paperwork or communication if needed.

  • Guidance on preparing for college life both on and off the court.

This final step shows our commitment to you — we’re not just here for the recruiting process, but also to make sure your move into college tennis is smooth and successful.
